Sobre fé psicanalítica - Bion, Meltzer e Kierkegaard

Resumo

A natureza da fé e sua relação com a crença, confiança, dúvida, e desespero, é um dos mais velhos temas na existência, apesar de relativamente novo na língua da psicanálise, devido à desconfiança freudiana com a religião no clima pós-darwiniano de sua época. Nesse artigo eu gostaria de explorar o significado da "fé psicanalítica" como um real, e não ilusório, fator psicológico que opera na intimidade do consultório, diferente de um corpo dogmático que regula aquilo que pode ser acreditado pelo "fiel" das igrejas psicanalíticas e religiosas. O filósofo William James, contemporâneo a Freud, ao destacar que era necessário separar a religião pessoal da religião institucional, descobriu nos seu estudo *As variedades da experiência religiosa* (1902)C 31 que as religiões das pessoas variam tanto quanto as suas personalidades.
